Throw Pillows

Throw pillows are a must have in any home. They're part of what make a living room so comfortable! If you know what colour your friend's living room is, as well as what style of furniture they have, go nuts with throw pillows! The more you purchase, the better. If you don't know what kind of furniture they have, go with generic warm and cold colours that can be incorporated into any decor.

Candles

One of the most disliked things about moving is the smell. Often the scent of a home can be affected by the family and their habits and cultures (ie. food they cooked, how often they cleaned, if they smoked, etc.) as well as if they had pets, and the area of the city the home is in. Moving from one end of town to another can be odd for the first month if you aren't yet adjusted to the smell. Candles are a great way to rectify this, as they warm a room and make the place smell great. If you're really serious about it, try buying a gourmet scent (like cinnamon apples or chocolate chip cookies) in several different sized candles. Then your new homeowner can put one in each room to keep the entire apartment smelling great.

Photography

Most new home owners haven't even thought about putting pictures up. It's probably the last thing that crosses their mind when they first move in.
