Baptism Gifts

Buying gifts for a Baptism can be hard. You want to get the child something they'll cherish, but you also don't really think that a stuffed animal is the type of gift a child should receive. Another factor to consider is the religion the child is. With each religion, baptism occurs at different ages and therefore the gifts should be different.

If giving the child something they can cherish forever, it should be something directly related to the day. A great way to do this is to take pictures of the child before, during and after the baptism and put them in a scrapbook. If you aren't that crafty, you can find some excellent memory related items, like a kit that includes a "first tooth" holder and a "first lock of hair" holder.

Gift Idea for a Baptism #2 - Christening Memorabilia

This gift idea is very general, but anything that relates to a baptism would apply here. Christening bears, beads, bracelets, plaques, and other items of the like are available many places.

Investments

This is a great way to give the child something they'll remember. Since the child is still young at the time of the baptism, an investment is a nice way to do something that will help the children in the future. Investing money into a savings bond, a GIC, or other investment is an excellent way to give the child something they can use in the future.
